Emotions have a way of transporting us to new experiences. They are powerful vehicles: yet without intentional steering, they have the potential to take over our personal journeys; leaving us feeling uprooted and ungrounded in our lives. Examples of this are the emotional journeys set in motion by recent events, news stories, our relationships, or traumatic events.
This workshop will be an opportunity for you to advance your emotional vocabulary and take back ownership of your feelings. You will recognize when they've been moved off your emotional center by establishing an emotional set point. From there you will create an emotional scale and understand when it is time to pause and release emotional overload. You will then use the power of emotions and direct them into inspired exercises (painting and writing) to enhance creativity. These painting and writing exercises can be completed with materials found in your household.
